Stir in mixing glass with ice and strain
1 oz gin (3 cl)
1 oz Punt e Mes (3 cl)
1 oz Cointreau (3 cl)
Garnish with orange twist
Serve in a rocks glass (6.0 oz)
Notes:
The No. 9 Park(Boston) bartenders, Ryan McGrale and John Gertsen invented this Negroni variation in 2009. This bar had a special menu "Flight of Heraldry" with 3 cocktails, first was Negroni, second - Contessa(named for the imagined wife of Count Negroni), and the third drink is another McGrale-Gertsen invention, the Patrician, which they named after the Count’s imagined “bitter laborer.”
